Oysters and Ocean Acidification for The New York Times
Last month I drove over to the Olympic Peninsula to photograph Governor Jay Inslee visiting the Dabob Bay Hatchery in Quilcene, Washington. It was a fun shoot on an important topic that will only become more apparent as climate change takes its toll on the waters of the Puget Sound. Several years ago I worked on a related story on Tattoosh Island and a group of scientists who were studying the impacts of ocean acidification.

San Francisco Noir for The New York Times
Last month I was commissioned to work on a story about noir in San Francisco and the footsteps of Dashiell Hammett, the writer who frequented bars and lived in areas of the Tenderloin District of San Francisco. It was a fun several days exploring the city and photographing in the streets as well as some of the speakeasy style bars that Hammett would have and did frequent in his day.
