Valve for

Last week marked the end of a three week adventure on the road starting with a road trip through Canada to Fort McMurray, Alberta for two weeks, back to Seattle for six hours to hope a flight to San Francisco to work on a project for Equal Voice News and finished off with several meetings in the Bay Area. Images from all of those projects will be coming soon, but for now, I thought I'd post a selection of imagery portraying the evolution of a video game controller.  After meeting with some of the inspirational editors at, I was asked to photograph the demo of the Steam controller and console at the Valve offices in Bellevue.  Despite the main man at Valve deciding not to grace us with his presence, there were still some fun things to photograph, particularly, all of the prototypes used to get to the controller that people use in front of their video game console.
