San Francisco Noir for The New York Times

Last month I was commissioned to work on a story about noir in San Francisco and the footsteps of Dashiell Hammett, the writer who frequented bars and lived in areas of the Tenderloin District of San Francisco.  It was a fun several days exploring the city and photographing in the streets as well as some of the speakeasy style bars that Hammett would have and did frequent in his day.
