Fashion for The City Paper

So as most of you know I don't usually shoot fashion let alone get to play with strobes on a regular basis, but last week I had a chance to shoot photos for the Fall Fashion Annual for The City Paper in Nashville. It was a hell of a lot of work, and as I became more and more familiar with the lights I think I got a pretty good handle on things. Looking forward to adding some strobes to my gear and applying some of this to journalistic portraits in an edgier way.

Terry, Grant, and Mark

Daily

I have been having a little more fun than usual with work this week and thought I would post some images. I had to go out to a ruraly area outside of Nashville that has been in the middle of a controversial development proposal so here are a couple from that.

Daryl and Jen's Wedding

I had the most amazing weekend spent with good friends in Ojai, California for my good friends Daryl and Jen Peveto's wedding. The company was amazing and I feel honored to be a part of this exquisite ceremony and reception. Thanks Daryl. It was unforgettable.

Indigent Burial

We have been working on a little story about the indigent burial program in Nashville and the fact that they have run out of space at the previous metro cemetery and are now burying people on a private cemetery. It's an interesting story that I may pursue in the future as a multimedia piece. The stories some of these grounds keepers have heard are fascinating. This is sort of a work in progress, but enjoy.
