Rave Project....

Every weekend while the rest of the city sleeps, crowds of colorfully dressed people flock to an undisclosed location to find a refuge in music, camaraderie, drugs, and sexuality. On a Saturday night in the Angeles National Forest, hundreds of people move to the sound of beats and dance with glow sticks flying through the air like they’re painting with a brush on canvas. Ecstasy, LSD, “Special K”, mushrooms, and marijuana are openly distributed for a small fee as the party rocks on through the night, undisturbed by authority of any kind. The rave scene, made popular in the ‘80’s was driven underground in the ‘90’s by increased scrutiny from the public, but may now be making a comeback.

Across the country both ways...

I just drove from Birmingham, Alabama to Seattle and then down to Ventura, California in the span of 7 days. This may not seem like all that much, but let me assure you that driving 17 hours from South Dakota to Missoula, Montana in one go is beyond painful.

Other than the long hours in the car, although somehow strangely relaxing, I had the chance to visit my sister in Missoula, visit friends in Seattle, and shoot a wedding between glasses of free wine and food.
