Sustainable Agriculture for The New York Times
I spent last weekend visiting a couple of farming operations in the Seattle area. The first was a visit to Alm Hill Gardens near Bellingham, Washington. One of my favorite things about working for the Times is that I get to go to travel the backroads of Washington going to places I wouldn't normally go. The drive out to Alm Hill Gardens was in the beautiful rolling hills below Mt. Baker (unfortunately shrouded in clouds). It was great to visit the people at the farm and get to snack on some of the fresh produce they were growing. Here is a selection of some of the images that didn't make it into the article.
