After Iraq, Troops Fill Base Towns for The NY Times

Yesterday morning I got a last minute assignment to head down to Fort Lewis near Tacoma to shoot a story on the town and the constant stream of homecomings. I had about two hours to shoot and edit this assignment for the next day's paper so I spent some time at the local cleaners where a constant stream of soldiers were bringing in their uniforms to either be mended or cleaned.
