Former Western Kentucky coach Jeff Strohm has given up coaching for the time being to be with his children, two of whom have a rare genetic disease called Urea Cycle Disorder. The disorder is caused by deficiency of an enzyme to effectively remove urea from the body, and builds up as the toxic substance ammonia, which can be life threatening. Two of the Strohm's three children have this disease. Although Jeff would like to coach again eventually, he says he'll just have to wait and see.
